Kylene's challenge of julie and julia

I have always loved to cook, and one person has taught me how to cook is my mother Wendy S. Mom has taught me alot of things and how to prepare your meal. For an example mom had taught me how to make American chop suey. One of my favorite meals i love to make. after a while on how to make that, i had decided on to change it up a little. and add spices. Its pretty much the same. on how mom taught me, but when I was cooking the meal. It's a work of art. When you are cooking.

Cooking for yourself isn't always fun, when it's just you that is eating. But when you have friends or family coming for dinner, that is more fun when cooking. six years ago when i first moved back here to Arizona, I was staying with my aunt at her house until i got my own place. i saved up for a year and i got my first apt. i loved that apt. but anyways. One day i was looking for something to watch on tv. and i came across this movie, Julie & Julia. Starring Amy Adams and Meryl Streep. any ways i got hooked on this movie. it's based on a true story of Julie Powell and Julia Child. these ladies are amazing. and they both played the part very well. it's more like an outstanding performance. I would watch it every time when its on, My cousin Alan, is like really Kye. and i was like what? "I have watched it so many times that i lost count on watching this movie. tbh, I am watching it right now while i am on my blog. lol true.  I have rented it from the library. I don't own it yet, But i will.

'I have thought about taking up this challenge also, and would love to see if i can do what julie Powell did, cooking from the 'Mastering the art of French cooking" 365 days. One thing about the cookbook is that i don't like seafood, I wouldn't  murder a lobster, or fish. It's like there is aspic police coming after me... lol

There are few of the dishes i have made and tried and it was delicious. I had finally made my first poche egg, And it does taste like cheese sauce. I have made that at least once. and that was like 5 yrs ago. It's good, but when i cook eggs i usually make my favorite, which is over easy with the yolk in the middle and dip my toast. yum.  Julie Powell says she has never had eggs in her entire life. until she made that poche egg. she claims that she was a wealthy child. Not sure why that has to do anything. But ok.

Julie Powell is amazing, and a great writer, and  i love her books. I have read at least two of her books. and they are amazing. I also live in a tiny apartment, 1 bedroom. Her and her husband Eric lived in a large tiny studio apt, with a tiny kitchen. "I also have a small tiny little kitchen myself. And i don't like as much. I like to move out of here, But i can't. I just recently signed a new yr lease. And all i have to say is it's gonna be a challenge for another yr. since they raised my rent, I can't afford over $600.00 a month. but if it was under $600.00 i can.

Okay i am rambling about a lot of things, and i don't always stick to one subject, i always seem to start another subject. Not sure why but i do. I guess it just makes sense to me. go figure.

Julia Child and her husband Paul Child never had any children. I'm sure they have tried. That one scene in the movie when she gets a letter from her sister Dorothy, and how she revealed that she is pregnant, Julia gets all excited, and sad too. That always gets me too. I get sad too. Because i don't have kids either. And i been through two miscarriages. yrs ago. And i hate to see me go through that again, and all the pain would come rushing back. And i don't want to go through that all over again. I do wish that i do have kids someday. But i am not counting on it anytime soon. Maybe after when i finished school. and have the family i have always been wanting to have. But i have to say is that i am happy the way things are, Javier and i are great, and his son. I feel like i am a mom, i do treat Daniel like he is my son. well, step son. its nice to hear that. Maybe one day we will talk about having a new edition. Right now i like to finish school.

Cookbook, there is one meal that i would love to try and make and that is Boeuf  Bourgugnon. This yr for christmas i like to tell my aunt Renee that i would love to have a crock pot, ( purple), and a blender also (purple). and i would also would love to have the cookbook, Joy. And Mastering the art of French Cooking.

Bon Appetit
